First Annual Fundraiser:

“Carnival of Life”

The Tiny Miracles Foundation held a "Carnival of Life" awareness and fundraising event on Sunday, September 12, 2004 at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton, Connecticut.

Blessed with a gorgeous September day, the event was attended by over 100 families from throughout Fairfield County. During the day-long family barbecue, the children, many of whom were born prematurely, enjoyed not only the beautiful beach day but also live entertainment including clowns, magicians, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, bouncy castles, children's carnival games and more. There was also a silent auction consisting of items and services donated by local businesses.

Said event chairs Kimbel Biele of Rowayton and Leelee Klein of Darien, "We are thrilled with the great turnout. The carnival has really raised the awareness of The Tiny Miracles Foundation within our communities and we look forward to continuing to spread the word about our new services throughout Fairfield County."

The Carnival raised over $37,000, and the proceeds will fund several of our new initiatives, including the Parent Support Network, Parent Resource Program, and "Tiny Treasures," hospital discharge bags containing useful preemie-related supplies for families as they transition home.
