On the afternoon of Sunday September 25, 2011, the sky opened for sunshine and miracles as the family band "Laughing Pizza" performed at the Wee Burn Beach Club to a crowd of 370 people. The event was a huge success and raised over $25,000 to benefit The Tiny Miracles Foundation.

As the crowd gathered, families enjoyed fun activities and delicious samplings from in-kind sponsors Green Moon Children's Art Studio, Robeks, Rowayton Pizza, Any Random Jane, Chunky Pam's Sweet Shoppe, Roly Poly of Westport and Funscapes Inflatables. After the pre-event festivities and play time on the beach, the band played to the delight of multiple generations. Laughing Pizza is a nationally acclaimed family band whose energetic, educational and interactive dance-filled shows have created a loyal following. A six-time Parent's Choice Award winner, Laughing Pizza has performed three consecutive years at the White House, has been featured on The Today Show, CNN, CBS and Fox Morning shows, and appears regularly on PBS stations nationwide.

Laughing Pizza's Billy Schlosser and his wife Lisa Michaelis are especially proud to come to our community and perform with their daughter Emily to benefit The Tiny Miracles Foundation. The Tiny Miracles Foundation mission is close to their hearts because their daughter Emily was born 8 weeks premature and she was hospitalized for many months with complications. The Schlosser family would have greatly appreciated the services of The Tiny Miracles Foundation at the time of their long ordeal, and they are so thrilled that this organization was founded in 2004 to help future families who go through the crisis of premature birth.
