New Canaan Country School Kids Volunteer Time for Tiny Miracles

New Canaan Country School VolunteersVolunteers for The Tiny Miracles Foundation were active this summer, stuffing a one year supply of 1,600 “Tiny Treasures” Welcome and Home Care bags. The bags provide local families with babies in the neonatal intensive care units of Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport Hospitals with information and hard-to-find preemie supplies. In May, these children from New Canaan Country School came out in force and spent several hours folding, sorting and packing the supply bags. Jackie Leonard, of Darien, organized the New Canaan Country School children’s volunteer effort, as part of the schools’ mission to give back to the community. More information about The Tiny Miracles Foundation and the “Tiny Treasures” Supply Program may be obtained at www.ttmf.org.
