Please listen to Tiny Miracles Foundation volunteers and mentees Glaucia Jones and Kerry Hanson, Executive Director Gwen Noto, and the entire Laughing Pizza family (Billy, Lisa and Emily Schlosser) interviewed on The Public File with John Voket on STAR 99.9. Many thanks to Glaucia and Kerry for sharing their personal stories and representing The Tiny Miracles Foundation on the radio to support TTMF and our highly successful Laughing Pizza Benefit Concert at The Quick Center for The Arts in Fairfield on Sunday, November 7, 2010.
The Public File with John Voket is an award-winning weekly public affairs radio broadcast that features interviews with non-profit organizations and community leaders about important community issues and events and promotes public awareness and involvement in these important causes. The show airs on Sunday mornings from 6am-7am on STAR 99.9 and from 7am-8am on WPLR 99.1.
Laughing Pizza is a sensational, wildly popular, nationally acclaimed and award-winning family band that plays energetic and entertaining performances for kids and families of all ages. A six-time Parent's Choice Award recipient, Laughing Pizza is the "hit of the Hamptons," and has performed twice at the White House, most recently with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers! They have been featured on the Today Show, Fox, NBC, CNN, and CBS Morning Shows, and appear regularly on PBS stations nationwide. Laughing Pizza is a lively, inspirational and educational group that is tons of fun and will be sure to entertain your whole family!
Proceeds from the Laughing Pizza concert will benefit The Tiny Miracles Foundation's programs providing vital support and assistance to families with premature babies throughout Fairfield County. Laughing Pizza star Emily Schlosser was born prematurely 14 years ago, and she and her family suffered through tremendous hardships as a result. Their experience with Emily’s premature birth and its consequences have inspired them in their artistic and performing endeavors, including performing this exclusive Connecticut benefit concert to support The Tiny Miracles Foundation, a cause clearly close to their hearts. If you have caught Laughing Pizza fever and want to join so many of our neighbors in others states to see them daily on your local PBS station(s), please contact your PBS affiliate(s) to let them know what they (and you!) are missing! Viewers in Connecticut and New York can make Public Television programming suggestions for CPTV Kids at jwhitehead@cptv.org or (860) 275-7270, and for WLIW21 at programming@wliw.org, http://www.wliw.org/about/contact/ or (212) 560-8021.
