Testimonials

On October of 2007, while I was on bed rest at Norwalk Hospital, my husband and I were visited by a representative from your organization. At that time we were glad that she came to visit us and offered her help. Nonetheless, my husband and I thought we would never need any help and we would manage through anything thrown our way. How wrong we were! On November 13, 2007 our daughter Victoria was born at just 24 weeks gestational age. At 1 pound, 6 ounces and only 12 inches long, we had so many questions and very little hope.

Our daughter Victoria spent 114 days in the NICU at Yale University Hospital and we finally decided to transfer her to Norwalk Hospital so she could be closer to home. Victoria had already healed from her eye and hernia surgery so we were glad she could be transferred closer to home. In addition, she is still in the recovery phase of her Stage 4 IVH in her brain and we were at our final stages of care before she could come home with us.

When we arrived at Norwalk Hospital, we were reintroduced to Tiny Miracles. We were fortunate to have access to your resource center and continued to get support from you as the days passed. We appreciate all your kind gestures from the Easter basket to the knitted hats, and even connecting us with other families, your organization has been a resource for my husband and I. We have made new friends with other families and have someone to share our concerns, experience and tears. Even with your last act of kindness, your organization has been there to help us once Victoria has come home.

When we received the check I became so emotional. My husband and I were set back by the random acts of kindness we had received. There are no words to express how honored we felt.

On behalf of our entire family, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support we receive from your organization. We have been blessed that Tiny Miracles was there for us, before our daughter Victoria was born and after her birth. I have included one of Victoria’s announcement cards that I created so you can see how far she has come.

Thank you,
Yesenia P.
